Our goal on our land is to live sustainably, re-wild the once bare landscape and create a thriving, bio-diverse garden that allows us to share the beauty of our cut flowers with our local community.

Meet Jera & Joey

Hello and welcome! We are Jera and Joey - the duo behind Meadow & Wilder Farm.

Our story began with a shared desire for wide open spaces and a place where we could live more sustainably. During our search, we fell in love with the quaint, country beauty of Bungendore, and in 2023 we found our home here.

And thus began our next adventure.

Jera first discovered her love for gardening during the dark days of the 2020–2021 lockdowns. What began as a way to stay busy (and sane) quickly revealed an unexpected green thumb. After transforming her coastal suburban block with flourishing flower gardens, a new seed was planted - a vision of growing flowers on a larger scale to use in her daily floristry work.

With a background in Environmental Science, Building Surveying and Planning, Jera brings a unique blend of creativity, technical knowledge and floral artistry to her work as a florist and flower grower. She now uses her own farm-grown flowers in each bouquet and arrangement.

Joey is the brawn behind this wild endeavour, bringing his easygoing, calm approach and enthusiasm to every task. With a background in the mechanical industry, he is a true Joe of all trades - tackling everything from repairs and plumbing to excavating, electrical work, fabrication, concreting, carpentry and heavy machinery operation. He is also our official bouquet holder and loves putting his problem-solving skills to good use whenever the farm calls for it.

Our Journey

Our farm is a reflection of our love for nature and our commitment to re-wild our land to create biodiversity habitats for our Australian native fauna and to encourage beneficial insects. The payoff is an incredible cut flower garden that allows us to share the joy of seasonally grown flowers with our community.

Since acquiring our land, together we have planted over 600 perennial trees, bushes, shrubs and flowers in an effort to re-wild the once vacant landscape.

Each year we continue to grow our unique and interesting selection of perennials including flowering ornamentals, lush foliages, unique and textural branches, fruits and selected seasonal blooms to create vibrant, whimsical and gardensque bouquets and arrangements for our customers.

At Meadow & Wilder Farm we feel passionately about conserving the Environment from the soil to the sky.

Our Philosophy

At Meadow and Wilder Farm we feel passionately about conserving the environment from the soil up to the sky. Our goal on our land is to create a thriving and biodiverse garden that allows us to share the beauty of our flowers with our community.

We have a strong focus on growing, supplying and sourcing pesticide free, seasonal, locally grown, long lasting fresh flowers.

We are dedicated to following the natural rhythms and seasons of our region and the conditions of the land. We work with nature, not against it.

At Meadow & Wilder Farm our operations are sustainable. We take pride in supplying flowers that are not only beautiful, but also ethically and sustainably grown. Our operations are solar powered and we use collected rainwater for our crops, our fields are plastic free and most importantly safe from the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides.

We are part of a large network of flower growers in the Canberra and South East New South Wales which is home to an extensive network of micro-flower farms.

Through these important and valued friendships we are able to source and supply a wide variety of premium, fresh locally grown flowers, reducing flower miles and supporting our local economy.
